Letter From Dr Margaret McCartney

6th December 2012

Dear Patient

From 7th January 2013 I shall be transferring permanently to our Gurney Surgery on Magdalen Street.  My last day of work at Tuckswood Surgery will be the 27th December 2012. You may be aware that the Tuckswood Partners, including myself, have been working at Gurney Surgery to provide appointments for our Gurney Surgery patients. Although we have been successful in recruiting a new Half-time Partner and Nurse Practitioner for our Gurney Surgery, this still leaves a Partner vacancy. My move will provide not only stability to our Gurney Surgery, but remove the necessity of continuing with the cover.

I have been developing my Medical Student teaching role over recent years and was awarded an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the Norwich School of Medicine. The Partnership wishes to support me to continue to develop my role in teaching in the future and my transfer to Gurney Surgery creates the opportunity to do this.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible for my Tuckswood patients to make appointments to see me at Gurney Surgery.   However, the other Partners and Doctors will continue to provide you with excellent medical care at Tuckswood Surgery.

I will be sorry to be leaving Tuckswood Surgery and for the uncertainty that this change may bring to many of you who have counted on me as your doctor and for whom it was a pleasure to treat.  Naturally I will be disappointed that I will not be able to see you in the future, however please be assured I will continue to represent your best interests by remaining as a Partner with Castle Partnership.

With all good wishes

Yours sincerely

Dr Margaret McCartney
