We have set up appointment systems to help provide you with the most appropriate nurse or doctor service to meet your medical needs.
We offer a range of different appointments:
These are intended for those patients who wish to book an appointment in advance or where your GP needs to see you again for follow up treatment.
It is our hope that you will be able to pre-book with a doctor of your choice. To arrange a pre-bookable appointment it is best to telephone either late morning or in the afternoon. These appointments can be booked up to six weeks in advance.
Pre-bookable appointments are available each day, Monday to Friday during normal surgery hours (8.00am until 6.00pm) and are available for both morning and afternoon clinics.
We also offer pre-bookable appointments on a Saturday morning, on a rota basis over the three surgeries for patients who have difficulty getting to the surgery during our normal surgery hours (8.00am until 6.00pm).
These are intended for problems that patients believe should be assessed within the next 24 – 48 hours.
Our doctors will provide a sameday service for problems that need to be seen quickly. You should telephone in the morning from 8.00am to make an appointment for the same day.
Sameday appointments are available Monday to Friday during normal surgery hours (8.00am until 6.00pm) and for both morning and afternoon clinics.
These are intended to provide an alternative when face to face discussion is not possible or is not needed.
So please ask for a telephone consultation if you do not need to see the doctor or nurse at the surgery.
The receptionist may ask you for some details, so that the doctor is aware of your situation prior to calling you back.
Our doctors normally deal with telephone consultations between clinics‚ please advise our receptionists if you will not be available to take calls.
Doctor and Nurse consultations are generally 10 minutes long.
If you find that you are unable to keep an appointment or that it is no longer needed please telephone to cancel in order that the appointment may be offered to someone else.
