COVID Vaccines and Boosters

For nearly two years the Gurney Surgery has been a Local Vaccination Site for the COVID vaccination programme. Over this time we have delivered thousands of vaccines to Norwich residents and not only our patients. On Saturday 3rd December we held our last planned COVID clinic. We will no longer be holding COVID vaccination clinics at Gurney Surgery.

If you require a COVID vaccination or booster then you will need to book this via the National Booking System or by visiting one of the many pharmacies who offer walk in vaccination service. More details for these services can be found via the link below.

Housebound Patients

Patients are to attend a local vaccination centre or walk in clinic where at all possible. If transport is a barrier then support is available to help you attend a vaccination site. Further information can be found here: Immunocompromised and Housebound – COVID-19 vaccinations – Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) (improvinglivesnw.org.uk)

For those patients where their condition makes them housebound and unable to attend a vaccination site, then please contact the surgery and we will arrange a vaccine for you.

We will not be able to provide a date for the visit when you call as we may need to ensure that we have enough patients to vaccinate at the same time to avoid vaccine waste. We may also pass the details to a local nurse team from the Primary Care Network who may undertake this vaccination on our behalf and on behalf of other surgeries.
