Views on Support for Carers of those living with Dementia

Healthwatch Norfolk is working with Norfolk Community Health & Care (NCH&C) to explore people’s views and experiences as carers whilst their loved one with dementia is in hospital. NCH&C have commissioned Healthwatch Norfolk to engage with carers and report the findings back so that they can improve the support available.

We want to hear from carers of those who are living with dementia and who have been an inpatient with hospitals in Norfolk.

We are interested in finding out what it has been like for carers of those living with dementia when their loved one is in hospital for treatment, what support they have received, and what further support they would like. We’d also like to hear what has been positive about their experience and where they would like to see improvements or changes.

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous. Complete the short survey at: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/HWNDementiaCarers.

The responses will be used by Healthwatch Norfolk to make recommendations to service providers as part of our evaluation report. The report will also be publicly available on our website and may be used in other Healthwatch Norfolk communications.

If you would prefer to complete the survey by phone, you can call Healthwatch Norfolk on 0808 168 9669 and we will arrange a time to ring you back to complete the survey.
